The ecological transition is not only about infrastructure, technologies and industrial policies. It also requires new skills, participation and a broader dissemination of sustainability culture within local communities and territories.
This is the context behind the session dedicated to INFEAS — the network for environmental information, training and education — taking place during Forum Compraverde Buygreen 2026. The meeting will focus on the strategic role of environmental education in supporting more sustainable development models capable of involving institutions, schools, local authorities, associations and citizens in processes of change.
In recent years, sustainability has become increasingly central to public policies, creating the need for educational tools and training pathways able to support the ecological transformation of territories and organisations. The discussion will present experiences, projects and best practices aimed at promoting environmental culture, strengthening community participation and supporting territorial networks engaged in sustainability issues. Particular attention will also be given to the relationship between environmental education, active citizenship and territorial governance, at a time when the ecological transition requires the growing involvement of schools, institutions and civil society.
The session is part of the programme of the 20th edition of Forum Compraverde Buygreen, which continues to promote dialogue between sustainability, innovation and public policies.
