Traditions in the future: agricultural universities, eco-sustainable witnesses
Agricultural universities, associative entities present in various regions of Italy, represent a historical heritage that still today plays a crucial role in the management and enhancement of collective ownership.
These organizations, which in Lazio, for example, manage collective assets across an area of over 500 km², have as their primary objective the conservation, improvement, and expansion of agro-forestry-pastoral heritage, while also promoting innovative agriculture and the protection of the environment and landscape.
The Agricultural universities, symbols of a tradition deeply rooted in history, embody the principles set forth in Articles 9 and 41 of the Italian Constitution and align with the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
In this context, revitalizing their mission could represent an extraordinary opportunity to create a laboratory of Green Community, capable of strengthening sustainability and promoting responsible land management practices.
