Compraverde Buygreen Award 2026: application deadline extended to 28 April

The deadline for applications to the Compraverde Buygreen Award 2026 has been extended to 28 April 2026. The Award has recognised the most outstanding experiences in sustainable procurement and responsible purchasing policies for twenty years. The decision follows numerous requests received in recent weeks from public authorities, companies and organisations interested in applying, who indicated the need for additional time to prepare their submissions.

The extension aims to encourage broader participation and to support the submission of well-structured and high-quality experiences in the field of Green Public Procurement, highlighting practices capable of generating tangible impacts on the environment, supply chains and local communities.

The Award is part of the programme of the 20th edition of the Compraverde Buygreen Forum, a key national and European reference point for sustainable public procurement, and is open to public authorities, companies and organisations, with participation extended at European level. Applications can be submitted in one of the nine categories: Green Tender, GPP Policy, Green Canteen, Vendor Rating and Sustainable Procurement, Green Culture, Social Procurement, Green Building, Green Healthcare, Green Sport.
