CREA INFEAS: launching the regional coordination for environmental and sustainability education

Environmental education is a strategic tool for building more aware, resilient, and responsible communities. At the Forum Compraverde 2025, the INFEAS network – Information, Training and Environmental Education for Sustainability – will be officially launched: an innovative regional coordination initiative that brings together institutions, schools, experts, businesses, and citizens to promote environmental sustainability through hands-on experiences, the exchange of best practices, and joint actions.

During the event, the INFEAS Network Manifesto will be presented, outlining its values, objectives, and membership criteria. Following an institutional introduction, participants will take part in an interactive and creative session, using participatory methods to collectively envision the future of sustainability education in the region.

From protected areas to research centers, and from environmental museums to educational farms, the meeting will showcase tools, methodologies, and opportunities to launch new educational initiatives and strengthen collective efforts towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. A key moment will be dedicated to initiating a collaborative discussion aimed at gathering concrete proposals to be integrated into the INFEAS action plan, aligned with the Regional Strategy for Sustainable Development.
