Regions for GPP: Experiences, Results and Models of Territorial Coordination

Green Public Procurement is increasingly emerging as a strategic lever to guide public policies and support the ecological transition at territorial level. In this process, the role of regions is crucial in translating national and European frameworks into coordinated and concrete actions.

The conference brings together regional experiences to provide an updated overview of GPP implementation in Italy, comparing models, results and operational tools developed across different territories. Through dialogue between institutions, experts and practitioners, the session highlights good practices and examines the conditions needed to strengthen the effectiveness of sustainable public procurement, starting from the application of Minimum Environmental Criteria. At the core of the discussion is the issue of coordination: how to build a system capable of connecting regional experiences, aligning strategies and reinforcing the contribution of public administrations to national and European sustainability goals.
