CONFERENCE PINCHERA HALL
Sustainable Sport: Social Impact and Environmental Protection, Two Sides of the Same Coin
Sport is not only about practice and competition; it is a social, economic and territorial infrastructure with growing environmental and social impacts. From facility management to major events, and from grassroots activities to local ecosystems, the sports sector is undergoing a profound transformation affecting organisational models, value chains and modes of participation.
In this context, sustainability is emerging as a key criterion guiding decisions, investments and policies.
The conference offers an integrated perspective on the relationship between sport, the environment and social impact, bringing together institutions, sports organisations and sector stakeholders. Alongside reducing environmental impacts, the focus is on sport as a driver of inclusion, wellbeing and social cohesion, capable of generating value for communities.
An opportunity to assess current trends and future directions, and to explore how sustainability can be structurally embedded in sports policies and management practices, strengthening the contribution of sport to the ecological and social transition.
